24th Annual Filipino Fiesta and Parade (4th Annual Flores de Mayo)

The Filipino Community (FilCom) Center’s 24th Annual Filipino Fiesta and Parade dubbed as “Flores de Mayo” is a one day event which will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 with a parade from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. starting from Fort de Russy, walking along Kalakaua Avenue and ends at Kapiolani Park. The parade will feature Miss Filipina Hawaii and her court, marching bands, artistically decorated floats, marching groups manned by various Filipino civic, culture and community organizations proudly displaying their particular ethnic region of origin, heritage and culture from the Philippines.
After the parade, a Fiesta will be held at Kapiolani Park grounds from 10:00 am to 5:00 p.m. where various food, business and cultural booths are set-up showcasing Filipino products ranging from food, artifacts, cultures and handicrafts, product samples to social, educational, business and health care services. Non-stop entertainment will be staged at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand featuring local talents as well as performing artists from the mainland and television and movie personalities from the Philippines. These events are free and open to the public.
