Financial Literacy Program
Work Series sponsored by The Filipino Community Center, Inc. and Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawai’i.
The goal of this Financial Literacy Program is to help the Community improve their understanding of financial concepts and services to empower individuals in making informed choices and actions to improve the financial well-being for their families, businesses, and communities. The following series of financial workshops will provide you with a diverse understanding of the financial challenges you may face including insurance plans, financial investments, buying versus renting a home, health care insurance decisions, estate and tax planning, navigating the various consumer banking products, and understanding and implementing small business strategies for growth and success. What better way to be prepared to embrace financial opportunities as they arise.
Starting June 12, 2018 to September 25, 2018
There will be Eight (8) sessions, two hours each, to be held twice a month on a Tuesday evening at the FilCom Center. No cost to the attendees (must be able to attend all sessions).
This series will provide the following information for the attendee
Medicaid/Medicare: Obtain a better understanding of the complex and confusing issues related to the health care industry and financing your personal health insurance programs. This session will cover Medicaid and Medicare Programs, Social Security, and Long-Term Care.
